What does Sulag mean?

Sulag is a Korean word meaning acceptance. As a mixed raced counselor, I wanted to incorporate my Korean culture into my business. Acceptance is a large component of the work I do with clients; acceptance of our circumstances, acceptance of what we cannot control, and acceptance of ourselves.

What can I expect from therapy?

Even after you have chosen to move forward with a counselor, you might have some reservations. Therapy can feel like an intimidating process, but you are not alone. Therapy is a journey you and I will take together. While I will not have answers to all your concerns, I will listen carefully and ask thoughtful questions. Your answers will then shape the direction of our work. You can expect to feel heard and respected. Additionally, you can expect to be gently challenged, as growth comes from the ability to challenge oneself.

What happens during the first session?

The initial session is an opportunity for you to tell me your story and for us to discuss your goals. This session is also a chance to evaluate if we are a good fit. One of the biggest contributions to the outcome of therapy is the therapist and client relationship. The first session is a good time to make sure you feel like I am the best therapist to help you meet your goals.

Who do you work with?

I provide online counseling for adults who reside in Colorado. My expertise is in anxiety and stress, codependency and people-pleasing, self-worth, perfectionism, perinatal mood disorders, and individuals in/previously in narcissistic relationships.

What is your rate and do you accept insurance?

My out of pocket rate is $165 per 45-50 minute session. For clients who pay out of pocket, I will happily provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company. I also offer sliding scale rates to those needing it. Starting in October 2025, I will accept Colorado Aetna and Cigna insurances.
